Stage 2 Structural Engineering with Architecture comprises 50 credits of Core Modules, and 10 credits of Elective Modules.
Students should choose their Elective Modules in the Autumn Trimester, to ensure a balanced workload of 30 credits per Trimester. Alternatively, should students prefer to take modules from within Engineering rather than selecting electives, they can choose from the Additional Option Modules listed.
Important Notes:
1) The Structural Engineering with Architecture programme is structured as a 3+2 programme, with a 3 year undergraduate BSc programme, followed by a 2 year taught graduate ME programme.
2) All qualified students can progress onto the Master of Engineering (Structural Engineering with Architecture) pathway at the end of Stage 3, i.e. BHENG005 Stage 4 (equivalent to Year 1 of ME). Students must obtain a minimum BSc Degree GPA of 2.80 to qualify for progression.
3) All qualified students can also progress to the Master of Engineering (Engineering with Business – Civil Engineering stream), i.e. BHENG004 Stage 4 (equivalent to Year 1 of ME).
4) Students who do not wish to progress onto the Master of Engineering (Structural Engineering with Architecture) pathway, or who do not qualify for progression, at the end of Stage 3 can exit their studies at the end of Stage 3 with a BSc (Engineering Science) degree.
Stage 3 Structural Engineering with Architecture comprises 50 credits of Core Modules, and 10 credits of Elective Modules.
Students should choose both Elective Modules in the Spring Trimester, to ensure a balanced workload of 30 credits per Trimester.
